An uneventful but pleasant enough day.  Bro came for both lunch and then again for dinner. In between, when the rain finally stopped and the sun broke out,  I walked to Asda via the charity shop where I spent £1 on a book entitled "A street cat named Bob" by James Bowen. The real life story of a London street cat (didn't know there were any) named Bob, who in 2007, adopts James, a homeless street musician, and their subsequent story. The fly leaf synopsis got me hooked. 

Today's pic is the pretty shrub in my neighbour's garden that has burst forth in the last couple of days, regardless of the weather. I don't know what it is though.
