River Cocker in spate.

The rivers Cocker and Derwent in Cockermouth have been really, really low for several weeks.

But in the last few days, the rain and the snow melt from the fells have made the river levels rise considerably!

Budgets aren't what they used to be...in the good old days, petrol would go up 1d a gallon and we would all rush to fill up our tanks before 6pm when the price increase was due!

Now, there's talk of people with one million pound pension pots!!!
