Arrived at Snow Leopard Trails Lodge
The drive to Ullay was so dramatic, past the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus rivers, up countless hairpin bends beautifully negotiated by Tsewang Yangjor, our driver. Now safely installed in a lodge above the village. We are the only two people staying here so have been given private rooms which are freezing for the moment. From here we might see ibex, bharal (blue sheep) and Ladakh urial sheep like mouflon (a set of horns on the roof of the Lodge).
