Purple Haze

Another sign that autumn is coming is the flowering of these colchcum, autumn crocus or meadow saffron.  They aren't a true crocus or the source of saffron.  They do make a splash of colour as the summer annuals are coming to an end.  
I couldn't put it off any longer and had to do some housework today.
