Chitting

After only one minor brouhaha, my seed potatoes duly arrived this morning and are now lovingly installed in a couple of new chitting trays. Because they’re sold by weight I have twice as many Pink Fir Apples as the other two varieties but that’s fine as they’ll develop last and should happily stay in the ground rot-free for most of the winter. I haven’t grown the others before so I’ve no idea how they’ll fare in our soil. It’s a planting of discovery.
Just back from seeing ‘Champions’ at the Vue, the latest in the long tradition of feel-good Mighty Ducks type films and not a CGI frame in sight!
