The Spirit is Willing

It feels very cold today even though it is registering 5° on my phone. It must be the lack of sun and the snell wind which had me scurrying home to don my Onesie and become the yeti  of the Dower House. I bought the much lauded garment at the start of the winter but haven’t really worn it much because it is so huge it drowns me and prevents me doing anything other than sitting.

I seem to have spent too much time sitting today. I met up with one of my friends of many talents this morning. It’s ages since we saw each other and it always fascinating to know what she is doing and making.

With the amount of graffiti daubed on every surface locally, vintage stone, doors or blank hoarding, and making no difference to the ’artists’, I was surprised to see this pristine notice in a close on Causewayside remaining unscathed.
Not only does it serve as my blip today, it reminds me of what I had forgotten I have in the drinks cupboard.
