Ta-ra!
Thank goodness the horrible rain cleared overnight and it was another beautiful day apart from a bit of cloud and some threatened sleet midday.
Started with very frustrating interaction with Sainsbury’s online delivery people who were refusing to leave P’s shopping in his delivery box as they ‘needed to see the customer and check they were over 18’ (not that there were any restricted items in there!). Having got nowhere with the driver I then had to tussle with the manager….what sort of service is this to vulnerable customers?! Like a couple of times in the past when faced with intractable ‘services’ and feeling helpless I felt like I was about to either shout or cry in equal measure - so frustrating! Eventually got it sorted (although in fact I had to call again at lunchtime as the driver had not returned as promised) but it left me feeling discombobulated.
Down to town for a haircut then home to do a mixture of ironing, family tree and some other admin stuff.
A was at a course and finished early so suggested we went for a walk. We went up onto the crags where we could see the snow on distant hills and the golden hour light was making the crags glow.
Lovely to get some exercise and chat about her Master’s research ideas and plans for her house decor.
The day definitely ended better than it started.
