The Hive

We drove home today, it takes about 4 hours including a quick stop for a coffee. On the way we found this newly renovated cafe in the Mountains near the Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens. We love the gardens but the service at their cafe is awfully slow and when you are on a mission you don’t want to stop for long. We decided to stop on the way home as it is about half way. We had a coffee and delicious bacon and egg roll which was the perfect size. We were the only people inside and they had “our” sort of music playing discretely in the background. 

I was really proud of Bob driving through Sydney with the caravan attached. You have to concentrate so hard pulling a big thing behind you. I don’t mind easy driving out in the country but the traffic is thick, the roads change every time we go there and the mountains are steep and winding. Anyway we are now safe and sound at home with the van unpacked and washing drying on the line.

I was just thinking that this place was renovated recently. It was probably burnt out in the fires of 2019-2020. If so they have done a lovely job and I’m pleased we have given them some business.
