My new friend doesn’t like me very much:(

I’m trying to make friends with a crow.  We’ve made some progress - he sits in the tree in my garden every day, and eats the most enormous amount of the suet filled half coconuts I put out. He’s really beautiful.  But if I try to move towards him - even inside my kitchen - to get a photo - he spots the movement and flies away. Here he is doing just that.  I know it will take ages for him to trust me - or maybe he never will. Crows always have been and still are hated by farmers, who shoot an awful lot of them, and often hang up the corpses to deter the others
