Solid

The cold seems to have penetrated deep, with the lawn seemingly now rock solid and the pond easily being at least 5 inches thick (save for the man-made blow holes courtesy of a carefully-placed floating tennis ball or two and some accurately poured hot water). The last few days of deep-freeze also appears to have given our dog a fear of the crunching sound feet and rolling car tyres make on thick heavy frost, something I hope doesn’t last.
