Not just any meringues

Two days ago I featured a coconut chickpea curry.

I kept the liquid from the two tins of chickpeas (known as aquafaba) and made meringues using the liquid instead of egg white. This makes them vegan compliant.

Here they are; very flat and many of them just broke up into shards. 
(To be used later to make Eton Mess)

I think it will be some time before I attempt this again.
