Birthday treat

Four of us got distracted by this burnt barn, got out of the car and climbed over a gate to trek across a muddy field to see it up close. Thereby making ourselves late for the birthday lunch - except that the member of the party who mistakenly set off yesterday, was told his error in just enough time to get off the train, go back home and try again today, was even later. Less muddy though.

My sister-in-law is a superb cook and lunch did not taste 40 minutes late at all.
