Bloom Time

My brother had a day of work today as his workplace is not busy. As the weather still hadn't improved (we even had a light dusting of snow early this morning) we decided to treat ourselves to lunch at The Chequers to cheer ourselves up.
We were expecting it to be quiet but it was actually pretty busy for a Wednesday lunchtime. The poor barman was on his own serving drinks and taking food orders. He was doing remarkably well in the circumstances and he seemed to remember all the orders off the top of his head. 
We settled on three separate starters - a scotch egg with piccalilli, halloumi fries (which were actually more like croquets but we certainly weren't complaining!) and barbecue chicken wings - and a pint each. Absolutely delicious.
My brother's new lens arrived today as well and he was delighted that it worked perfectly (it's a second hand one) and that he'll be back out soon capturing images again.
My image today is again a bit last minute. So it was time for something bright and colourful after yet another grey day and this bloom certainly fitted the bill.
