DAY 8 - HOLY LAND

Last day….:(((( still trying to catch up with blip but wanted to record our adventures!!

Packed (a bit chaotic), breakfast (usual rush) and then off to Ceaserea on the Mediterranean…with connections to King Herod and Caesar from Rome. Fascinating place with 1,000 of years of history…destroyed and rebuilt many times due to conflict or earthquakes….ruled by romans, Christians and Muslims to name a few.
It was an amazingly sunny day but a bit windy.

#the site of the first infinity pool :)) you can see the mosaic floor of the Roman baths.
#lots of various buildings from history filled this settlement….including a massive circus maximus.
#all our church pilgrims…what a team.
#to end our pilgrimage we were all anointed with oil from the Holy Land. Very moving.

What a trip!!!!
Only slightly clouded by 3 hours security check at the airport!!! Still good flight, good transfer to get the car and a smooth journey home……boy it’s cold!!!!!
