New shoes

Happy Birthday to Krista! A busy day for her and us, and we were happy to leave a message on her phone and sing Happy Birthday- and Bill joined in!  We did catch her to have a quick conversation in between time with neighbours.
An EB on a busy day. Bill came for coffee this morning and was just leaving when our neighbour and her dad came over to trim the figs. Not much to trim this year, but he said he'd come over again next year to do more. They came in for a visit and some treats, then we went over to their house to see the huge trees that came down in the last wind storm. Incredible! Lots of cleaning up to do, and G will be going over with his bigger chainsaw to help cut through some of the bigger trunks. Spent some time looking around their place. Now it's time to make supper, a bit of a later than we usually eat, but it was good to spend time with excellent neighbours.
