Having fun before the game

yesterday was a day when I really didn't get anywhere because of all the coughing. but no further complaints. today E had competition again, and because we don't have a substitute for my task for days like this, I went along anyway. armed with a bag of licorice, cough syrup and a portion of hope and good cheer. I'm not in the game room at this location, so that helps too.

the team is almost certain of degrading, but may cross swords with the best teams in the country a few more times. it remains a great experience to be able to participate for a year at that level.

today it unexpectedly remained a bit exciting. when 8 of the 10 games were finished it turned out to be 4-4. S and E were still busy and both still had a small chance of a draw. after more than five hours of playing chess, they both unfortunately had to put down their king... Lost. but fought like lions.
