Biosecurity Check

A sea day as we steam towards South Georgia.  Today all passengers had to undergo a mandatory Biosecurity check of all our outdoor gear before we disembark on the next three islands we will be visiting.  The crew checked for organic material including soil, seeds, and insects especially on Velcro, cuffs, pockets, seams, hoods, and boots, walking sticks, camera tripods, and backpacks.  This is done to ensure that no foreign bodies are accidentally introduced into these pristine environments.
