McCaigs Tower

A beautiful day today so I made a quick escape from my office in Oban to go up to McCaigs tower. This shot was taken from the back of the tower looking in and I like the angle with the tower rearing above.

It is a very iconic place and means Oban can easily be recognised from a distance. I am preparing to watch the new series on TV that begins tomorrow night with Nicolas Crane called Town as it features Oban in the first episode.

Inside the tower are gardens with benches for lunch and stunning views through the arches across to the isle of Mull. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. I will put some further shots of the tower in my blipfolio which can be seen here
