This is the popular swimming pool at Motueka Beach, NZ.

With higher tides at present the sides and walkway of the pool are well below the surface of the sea. 
Youngsters love jumping from the higher wooden rails into the pool - often giving spectators an unexpected ‘swim’

We prefer swimming from the beach, further to the right of where I am standing on the path taking this photo. 

It has been another hot day - perhaps we will get to enjoy an extended summer after all.
