Wet and Wild

I walked a two hour shift with JG today, our first together.  The time passed quickly as we enjoyed our conversation.

Brookside Reservation was one of the City of Cleveland's oldest neighborhood parks, boasting 7 historic baseball fields since the early 1900s.  It snowed all day throughout northeast Ohio.  Snow accumulated at home, but melted as soon as it landed on us while walking through the park all the way to the zoo.  We were drenched by the time we finished.  We only saw two people, but lots of deer.  We also reported to park police that there was a woman sitting on the floor in one of the locked stalls of the women's restroom in the JT complex wearing yellow crocks.  She had been there for quite some time.  Hiding?  Homeless?  Drugs?  We couldn't say, but it was a warm, yet strange place for someone to spend a long time.  Fingers crossed for her.

Only  6 more reservations to visit to finish the TA Explorer's Club challenge, working shifts at all 18 reservations.
