Crisp and bright…

looking across the loch to the Wolf’s castle. Some ice was snow covered, some had broken up and floated in drifts, tinkling and rattling in the still air.
There had been a fresh fall overnight and frost but it was a little warmer today. Kites and Buzzards were scavenging  for roadkill. In some snowy fields were skeins of geese and opposite flocks of Oystercatchers. A mix of winter and spring.
