Thursday: The Team

I was hosting a small event this evening. Unfortunately, it clashed with an event my US colleague was hosting.  In itself, that wouldn’t have been a problem apart from the fact that we had to gently redirect a couple of guests who turned up at ours, thinking they were at the Americans.  

Would you believe it?  It’s so rare anything goes on in Belmopan in the evening and now there’s two things in one night.

The other amusement came when we played the national anthems.  The person in charge not only got the wrong anthem for us, but played ‘Ode To Joy’ the EU’s anthem……

Here is the team, relaxing at the end of the night. On the immediate left we have Rhonda and Lily, who are our housekeepers, the three to the right of Lily are her daughters.  She has 9 kids and all their names start with K so it’s really hard to remember who is who!  And then Ashanti, my excellent assistant on the right.
