Snow fun

The snow arrived today as forecast, much to Reg's pure delight. His number one favourite sport is playing snowballs in the garden with Barry, and here he is doing just that. They have had a couple of sessions out there today. The first there was less snow but this afternoon there was so much more to frolic in! It hasn't stopped snowing since 10am so we now have more than twelve hours worth! If it continues through the night, Reg will be dragging his belly in it tomorrow; not that he will mind.
I've spent the majority of the day indoors sewing with a couple of trips next door to check their heating is still working and no frozen pipes. Meanwhile they are basking in 26°C.
Late this morning another neighbour messaged to say she was making lime curd if we would like some when it was ready. Just after lunch she sent her husband out in the snow to bring us freshly baked, fruit and nut scones and the lime curd. Both were delicious and a real treat.
I sent mum some photos of Reg playing in the snow, which cheered her up, as it had been raining all day there and she hadn't been able to get to her coffee morning at the Salvation Army.
This evening Charlotte telephoned which was lovely too. She is taking a day off when I am staying at mum's later in the month so will come and spend the day with us.
Despite the weather the day has been very cheerful.
Grateful:
For the snow which pleases Reg so much
For a very thoughtful neighbour who bakes and shares
For a warm cosy kitchen to spend the day in
