I was saddened this evening to hear that Sarah’s dad had died. We don’t really have a connection since she and Liam split up, especially as it turned into an bitter break up, over a year ago now, but I had seen on Facebook he had a diagnosis six weeks ago. I did message her then, but no contact since. So the message tonight was a shock. I had thought he was receiving treatment. I won’t lie, it brought back memories, but on the whole I just feel sad for what she and her mum will go through now. And it did make me realise how hard it is for other people to know what to say.
