Sale in the sleet

Our vaccinators walking group went up Sale fell near Bassenthwaite Lake. It was incredibly windy on the top - see extra. I managed to slip twice. The first slip I managed to recover in a ballet/lunge type of movement. The second big slip (it was muddy) wasn’t so graceful and I ended up falling full length on my left side somehow. Fortunately I wasn’t seriously hurt. It didn’t start to snow until we got to Bassenthwaite Lake Station for a hot cheese scone and hot chocolate.
The snow here had been rather pathetic.
