Parliament Square

Not the most exciting of pictures for today - but the weather was not conducive to hanging around! This is Peebles’ very own Parliament Square.  All I can say is that the Scottish Parliament must have been very small because both the square itself and the houses around it are all very small.  It seems that there was an emergency meeting of the Parliament here in 1346 after King David II was defeated at the Battle of Neville’s Cross
