Another classic Edinburgh shot! I was up bright and early, got a takeaway coffee from the backpackers, and headed down the Royal Mile to Holyroodhouse. It was really chilly, very glad of the gloves. I was back in time to pick up R and go to the Urban Angel for breakfast. We made the booking for the last remaining table 2 days before, we were allowed to stay for 1 hour 15 mins. Gone are the days of lounging around brunching, and hanging out with friends on a Sunday morning. We did some more walking around, just enjoying being in the city, then headed back to pack our stuff and check out at 12.00. Then got the tram from Princes St, so lucky to enjoy the pipe music for a few minutes. The flight back was straight forward, and we were back at home at 20.30. A lovely weekend, and nice to spend it alone with my daughter, that’s quite rare.
