Peparing for the big freeze

A murky morning, with the temperature hovering just below zero.
No snow here, for the moment, though we may get some later today and tomorrow.
So both robins and dunnocks were out early this morning, getting a feed.
What can I say about this week's government announcements on small boat arrivals, asylum-seeking and so on? Perhaps just a 'thank you' to Gary Lineker and others who have spoken up for tolerance and for a rational, collaborative approach to managing a complex and difficult situation.  Clearing the current asylum seeker backlog, and committing to proper, safe application routes, would be a start.  This won't come from the current govt, who prefer to stir up fear and hatred.
