Invoking the Gods

Life originated from the waters is truly depicted here in this inaugural of the festival of the gods (Lai Haraoba) where the priests and priestesses call up the creator from under the water for the 5-day long celebration in honour of the creation of men.
Some of our club members are for a trip out in the countryside for a photo exhibition on May 22 in connection with International Biodiversity Day under the theme "Water And Biodiversity". While taking some river life, encounter upon this ceremonial outing of the locals of Lamlongei in the Imphal West District for the said festival.
