Bradford Pear
Two days and counting. It has been a bit overcast and chilly. We made great progress on our to do list today. After breakfast, hubby and I divided the grocery list and made quick work of that task. I bought ingredients and made Zuppa Toscana (our fav from Olive Garden) for dinner. On the way home, we noticed these trees in full bloom along someone’s drive. From what I have read, if they are Bradford Pear trees, they are considered invasive in our area. They have a tendency to be easily uprooted with minimal wind. Looks like these have done fine though. Cleaned the kitchen, watered all the indoor plants and started loading the car. I left Post It notes around the house with special instructions for Chase. This is his first time being away from home alone and we want it to be a pleasant experience. His family was going to Frostburg this weekend for Skylar’s college open house. Thankfully, she has play practice so they will be home if Chase has any issues. Hubby is taking the ATV back to WV this trip. Ge bought a new battery for it and installed it today; not an easy job. He was disappointed he didn’t get to use it for snow removal. Maybe next year. We are going over to Parker’s after his lacrosse practice later today. We are recycling some golf clubs that hubby polished to make him a rack to hang all his baseball caps on. See the extra. He mentioned having a ton of caps but no place to store them. His birthday is 10 March; we’ll be away so he gets this part of his gift early. Then we should be able to relax this evening. Sending wishes for a nice evening. Stay safe. Thanks for the visit. “Oh to be a pear tree - any tree in bloom! With kissing bees singing of the beginning of the world!” - Zora Neale Hurston
