Seeds for Breakfast: Tiny Tuesday
Well, not only seeds, of course! Chia seeds are the smallest things in my food cupboard. I often make overnight oats which is a mixture of oats, 1 teaspoon of Chia seeds, 1 teaspoon of hemp and some frozen blueberries which defrost overnight. I put everything into a glass jar and add almond milk. I add a few almond flakes the next morning for a bit of crunch!
If you look carefully, you will see the tiny grains of Chia mixed with the oats in the glass jar.
Chia seeds are rich in healthy Omega-3 fatty acids and also contain interesting minerals and B vitamins.
One Chia seed measures 2mm (1/16th of an inch) in length.
