Spice and all things nice

Cathy1947's theme this week is food.  Thanks for hosting C.

So these are all spices and a virtual heart for anyone who can tell me what the 5 spices depicted on this beautiful pottery tray are.  The small tray, a favourite of mine, came all the way from the Orkney Islands (thank you P).

I didn't leave the house today.  Another scorcher at 36C and it didn't go below 26C overnight.  Hopefully cooler weather will arrive soon.
