Rat Killer

JimBob intrigued by the moths this evening.

He did something interesting last night - let him out - he went thundering round the garden for a bit and then stood in front of a bush. And then dug into the bush....

His tail went perfectly straight and wagged slightly, there was a hiss from the bush, a bit more digging, and then he went off down the garden with something in his mouth.

We chased after him for a few minutes and eventually removed the dead rat from his mouth. He had killed a rat.

So....after 10 years of cats and they have caught precisely zero (apart from one bird), the dog in 6 months caught the rat living outside.
