A Most Amazing Day

Forever grateful to a friend who invited me to join him and his guide to explore the back bowls of Courmayeur. A first for me after so many years of skiing here. Not particularly difficult but I would never adventure here by myself.

The day consisted of taking the highest tram to the top and then make a series of garlands down and up over the ridges to explore further and further away from the boundaries of the resort. Either hiking with the skis ove the shoulders or tied to the rucksack or with skins to create a track up the snow fields.

It snowed a week prior but we still managed to find fresh lines as testioof this picture.
