Night Time Beach
It’s been a very wet, grey day but we headed out on the little tourist train that takes you round the new town, partly so that we could see The Strip, the infamous road full of English and Irish bars beloved by hen and stag parties. Being a wet Monday morning it was eerily quiet.
We found our way down to Oura beach, where we we were glad to take advantage of the coffee and brandy offer in a beach bar to take the edge off the chilly damp.
By mid afternoon we had walked back to the sanctuary of the hotel room to read for a while.
This was the view as we came out of the hotel tonight: definitely the best part of the day.
Our restaurant tonight was Staar, tucked away down a side alley, which featured on the TV programme A New Life In The Sun (see extra). The food was excellent and they seem to be thriving
