Disappearing path

Cunning plan by the Brecon Beacon park authority.  Draw you into an apparently in-use rock climb in the confident belief that there is a path just a few yards up, only to arrive at a sign saying 'Footpath closed'  and 'Follow Diversion Signs'.  No diversion signs anywhere in sight, nor any footpath other than that closed.  So we went off piste on right to roam.  More climbing and then a narrow, well-eroded track (created by people in the same predicament as us?).  A bit more off path climbing and we reached another proper footpath.  Yes, we did climb up from the bottom of the valley.
