4000

This is my 4000th blip. Apparently an average human lifespan is 4000 weeks so it’s a number to ponder on…

Today I was up at 6 and out of the house soon afterwards to catch the bus to Glasgow for an Interfaith Scotland event for International Women’s Day. Trisha Singh was speaking about her life as a Glasgow-born Sikh woman. I met Trishna on Holy Isle last August and I’ve been reading her book “A Silent Voice Speaks” so I know what an interesting life that has been. After the talk, we had lunch at the Gurdwara which was almost next door. There is always a meal for anyone at the Sikh temple, part of the belief in Sewa (service).

I’m on another bus now, to Edinburgh. I’ve heard that Jess is enjoying her mini break too - she had a happy reunion with our former postie this morning (dogs have long memories).
