Cutting The Ribbon

The Green Technologies Pavilion is officially open!

You may remember it from here, here, here, or here.

Speeches were given, ice cream was eaten, and a lady with a keyboard provided the background music.

Bill Poe was the greatest supporter of the project. He wrote letters to local companies raising funds for the construction or rounding up in-kind donations of labor and materials, sent multiple press releases, and letters to city and university officials raving about the project. He was also there with me in the summer, every night, showing his support of the students and faculty who slaved at strange hours to escape the summer heat.

He didn't know he'd be the one cutting the ribbon, and he was truly moved to be asked. Who else was to do it, Bill? You are THE man!!! Thanks for all you have done.
