Garden Assistant with Clematis Vines
Well, here is Gracie Twinkle-toes (GT-t) again in the garden. Whenever I am working outdoors she's got her many-toed paws right in the job. This morning we were setting up a temporary trellis for two vigorous clematis vines [Diana and Graveyte] that outgrew their climbing tower last year. I only just found out that adult clematis cannot be moved. They were growing right into and over a pussy willow tree last year. She's looking at the cluster of clematis vines seen half way up the left side of the wire.
So, for our job today "we" moved a newly installed metal arbor close to the vines. But that didn't seem supportive for now. When I moved a wire cage into the space GT-t felt the need to grab a bunch of leaves and pull them out. That's the blip we've got for you here today. Little miss helpful enjoys outdoor work...
Overcast all day today and this allowed for some more subtle colours and shadows for the camera.
