Christ Church

Wellington's oldest church with the first service in 1854
Located in the suburb of Taita complete with an 0800 phone number and a  Website at www.christ-church.org.nz and promoted as "Perfect for Weddings" was the feature of todays stagger. Originally built from pit sawn timber and later burnt down by arrogant teens it is now fitted  out with a complete fire detection system and sprinklers and was a wonderful visit on todays walk complete with the Vicar who was a great story teller. We also discovered that Wellingtons railway station has a fab cafe called Trax and Bus drivers can be real gentlemen when they deliberately stop and hold up traffic so our group could safely cross a busy road.
