Public Service Broadcasting

I first discovered Public Service Broadcasting last summer with the release of London Can Take It from their brilliant 'The War Room' EP.

The band take samples from old public information films, archive footage and propaganda material, attempting to 'teach the lessons of the past through the music of the future', other gems have included 'Everest' which is based ond 'The Conquest of Everest' a film charting Hilary and Tensing's first successful ascent of the mountain, and 'Signal 30' about the perils of not driving safely.

I arrived late (juat after 8pm - so missed the support act!!) so this blip is not from the angle I'd have wished for. Still, it was brilliant, funny and quirky show.
