1st Birthday party

Today we had a few close friends over for an early celebration of CJ's first birthday. It was a lovely little party with sun, BBQ, a chocolate fountain and birthday cake. Needless to say with 5 children and their parents running round there were plenty of laughs, especially once the chocolate fountain come out!

The cake is a joint effort from S2 and I (S2 on icing and decorations and me on baking) and given the way it has turned out I think we may have set the birthday cake bar a little too high for future cakes!

CJ was a very spoilt little boy and received some lovely gifts! Although the day was a little too much and he was in bed and asleep before dinner! I guess that is a sign of a great party for a 1 year old!
