Tennis club

This is where I spend quite a few hours each week. I was invited to play this afternoon by a player ranked four levels above me and although I lost, it was a very close match. In the second set tiebreak I even had three set points and then lost them all - very frustrating! It was perfect weather to be on the court, about 17 degrees and I was able to wear my summer kit. I went back in the evening to reserve a court for Tuesday and had a long chat with another member about the state of the courts which have some bad cracks after the winter snow and ice. They need resurfacing but the Mairie is not forward looking enough to realise that the club is an important facility for the village. The lack of support means we are losing members and other clubs will not come to play unless something is done. The youngsters do not have a lot to do and it would help to keep them off the streets.
