The Chauffeur's Flat

We took mum to the garden which was open today as part of the National Garden Scheme. We have been there before - it is a wonderfully eccentric garden, full of lovely inventive planting, making the most of an awkward sloping site with fabulous views over to Ashdown Forest. Some of the planting of shrubs and trees echo the landscape beyond. It is also full of odd treasures - such as sculptures made from telephone equipment. So although I could have blipped a garden scene, I thought I'd show a new addition to the garden 'ornaments' a mosaic table, complete with broken crockery and knives and forks. It was quite surreal seeing this juxtaposed with the stunning landscape afar and the inventive planting nearby! Surreal but great fun.
