Lupine

I was happy to see the first lupine of the year. It was a rather grey day so this little one really brightened the day. We saw it in Elliðaárdalur.
Some Icelanders, don't like them very much, say that they take over all other vegetation, but I think they are beautiful, especially in June when they are flowering and a whole hill can be sparkling blue.
Just when we walked back we saw the swans had left their nest in the middle of the river and they had already three little babies.
