Bikes and Bales....

A busy one again.
Just finished feeding and nipped in for my coffee when Ali appeared in on his bike. He came in for his coffee too ,and also presented me with some Winton Brewery beer to try. This follows on from my Blip of the brewery's Citroen van from the other week.
Once he was away,spent the morning mixing and bagging up feeding .
The forecast was talking about snow next week,so bit the bullet and spent the afternoon hauling big bales of straw out to the lambing field to make the pens and shelters. Ground conditions weren't too bad ,so didn't make as much mess as I could have done. The forecast also talked about frost next week, which would have been ideal for doing this job,but I didn't want to chance it.
Any way,had it more or less finished by half 6, cattle fed and in the house by 7.15, just in time to run Littlemiss into town for 8 pm.
So not bad for a Saturday. ...
