Outreach
I’m up at seven and at West Linton primary school for quarter to eight. It’s a glorious morning, bright and cold. Gilbert is already there with the marquee and a head cold -so he leaves once we’ve set up.
Naomi and Debbie join me just after 9 in time for the town crier to proclaim the market open. We have a busy day, telling people about the community farm project and asking for them to register their support. Response is generally positive, sometimes effusively.
Gilbert returns at twelvish and we pack the marquee back into his van. I take Debbie back to Carluke and head home.
An afternoon of pottering. Burn the apple prunings. Light the sauna. Ignore the laptop. Listen to the News Quiz. Done.
