Western Canada University Champs

This is Rylee, our granddaughter who attends the University of Alberta in Edmonton, and plays for the Pandas.
The team bussed to Calgary to take on the higher seed team, University of Calgary Dinos.


They beat them 76-65 in a thriller.  Pandas took an early lead and never gave it up..although it did tighten to a 1 point game in the 3rd quarter.


Canada West teams come from Manitoba, Saskatchewan , Alberta and BC.


The Pandas and the Dinos will now travel to Nova Scotia for the Canadian Championship next weekend.  It is an 8 team final draw with teams from across Canada.

My wife and Rylee's Mom flew to Calgary to support Rylee and the team for this game...unfortunately no one is able to make the Championship games.


We are heading down to Vancouver to watch Rylee's younger brother Nash, play in the BC Senior Boys Championship on the same weekend.
