Where do I begin?

An early alarm call before meeting our fellow swimming group at Ullswater. A marvellous swim followed in 3.8 degrees of calm deep water with the majestic scenery around. Such a tonic. We did at least 630+ metres. The air temp was 5.8, but it felt cooler.

Post swim breakfast was suppose to be Cranstons breakfast sausage (already cooked and brought in a flask) in a brioche bun. One of our group was kind enough to bring raw bacon to cook on a stove. There was a bit of drama and a lot of giggling and laughter when the gas canister decided to  leak more gas than it should, causing flames to spill all over the lakeside! No one or any wildlife was harmed. But the laughter, my goodness me, my stomach still hurts!

Liz and I continued our post swim walk as planned up Aira beck to Aira Force. It was really quiet. The path on the left of the beck was closed for tree work so we headed up on the other side, but still had to climb over a locked gate together a shot of the lower waterfall.

Tom and I walked along the Roman wall between Haytongate and Hare Hill. I have so much energy today it’s ridiculous.

Will and Georgina popped in to chat about their exciting new move over to the north east, houses and potential employment, very exciting.

It’s Prosecco o’clock now and I’m bouncing along to Jefferson Starship's 'Jane' and Blondies 'Rapture', give me strength!
