Beetle Mania

I always keep an eye on the Highlights Rural Touring Scheme for its programme of 'unmissable culture' in Cumbria, and this morning went to a workshop at Levens Village Hall to make a 3-d beetle.  It was good fun if slightly chaotic and extremely messy.  Note cups of coffee and cake on the work table, alongside the template for how to construct the beetle from the patterned paper you have just made.   The extra shows what the beetle should look like; mine is in pieces at home so you'll have to wait until another day to see if it was successful!
